Easy Pancake Shapes

November 7, 2014

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf All You, Southern Living, Real Simple, and People. for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Most mornings we eat a bowl of either Lucky Charms, Frosted Mini Wheats or Trix and hop in the car for school. It's not something we're proud of. So Brian and I have been making more of an effort on the weekends to spice up breakfast. For one of his birthday gifts I bought him a pancake batter dispenser, although a simple ketchup/mustard dispenser works too (actually works better for smaller detailed shapes). And we started making Bisquick battered pancakes into fun shapes and letters.

This was so easy that Brian could do it. So don't worry about having artistic dexterity. Just get a pancake dispenser or ketchup squeeze bottle and fill it with batter. Heat up your skillet. Once the skillet is hot squeeze your pancake batter onto the skillet in the shape of your choice. We would usually draw the outside of the shape first and then fill in the shape second.
